TymeBank has partnered with payments solutions provider Flash, enabling its customers to withdraw cash at over 172 000 spaza shops and traders across South Africa. The collaboration offers more cash withdrawal locations than any other bank in the country, addressing the ongoing need for cash in communities and the informal market. To withdraw cash, customers must generate a voucher via TymeBank’s USSD channel, which is redeemable at Flash merchants for a flat fee of R7. This initiative forms part of TymeBank’s broader strategy to expand its services as it evolves into a full-service bank, now serving over nine million customers in South Africa.
