PayShap has launched a new feature called PayShap Request, allowing users to initiate instant payment requests through bank channels. Participating banks include African Bank, Capitec, Discovery, FNB, Investec, Nedbank, Standard Bank and TymeBank, with broader availability expected in 2025. Additionally, the transaction limit increased from R3 000 to R50 000 in October 2024, further supporting larger payment needs.
