TransUnion reports surging demand for credit cards and clothing accounts

235

TransUnion released its year-on-year report for December 2022, reporting that it had seen a big increase in the demand for credit cards and clothing accounts. Interestingly, the profiles showed younger people and those with weaker credit scores being behind this. The jump in clothing account volumes was in line with festive season growth and possibly allied to more people returning to work. Encouragingly, unpaid accounts have also improved, suggesting that people are starting to manage their debt better.
