In March 2022, Dis-Chem launched its Health Insurance offering. In May, it launched its second medical insurance offering, the Dis-Chem Health Gap Cover. In July, it promoted its recently launched Gap Cover using a billboard. The ad stated that cover starts from only R190 per adult per month and offers additional cover of up to 500% of medical aid rates for tariff shortfalls. The products is administered by Kaelo Risk and underwritten by Centriq Insurance.
