Discovery Vitality announces major partner and reward changes

167

Discovery Vitality has announced that it is replacing Pick n Pay with Checkers as a partner, starting 1 September 2024. The shift reportedly reflects the evolving shopping preferences of Vitality members, who often choose different retailers for in-store and online shopping. The company added that members had different retailer preferences when they shopped in-store versus online, with many choosing Woolworths for in-store purchases and Checkers Sixty60 delivery service for online purchases. Pick n Pay will cease to be a partner on 31 August, though Discovery Miles can still be spent there. Additional changes include paying out HealthyFood rewards in Discovery Miles, increasing the cap on reward-eligible spend and reducing the maximum boosted reward for Discovery Bank Black Suite clients from 75% to 50%, with only Purple Suite clients now eligible for the 75% benefit.
