Discovery Health has announced updates to its Flexicare healthcare offering, making it more accessible and affordable with prices starting from R350 per month. New features include access to nurse-led clinics, digital consultations and a broader network of providers. According to the company, Flexicare has grown by 77% over the past 30 months and currently serves over 111 000 members, with the new starting price making it between 13% and 19% more affordable than equivalent products on the market. Members have the option to choose between two Flexicare plans, Flexicare and Flexicare Plus, with Flexicare Plus providing additional services like chronic medication, dental care and optical benefits. Flexicare is available to both corporate employers and individuals, including through Clicks retail stores and primary care clinics like Intercare, Netclinic and Unjani Clinics.
