Swiss Re has introduced an enhanced version of its Life and Health underwriting manual, now featuring an AI-powered assistant called Swiss Re Life Guide Scout. Developed with Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, the tool aims to improve underwriting efficiency by providing quick, expert-compiled answers to underwriter queries in natural language, leveraging a solid data foundation and advanced analytics. Swiss Re chief underwriting officer Julien Descombes said that the company’s goal is to provide insurers with more efficient and user-friendly access to risk insights, supporting sustainable business practices and helping them fulfil their commitments.
