African Bank has delayed its JSE listing by two to three years to address integration challenges from recent acquisitions, including UBank and Grindrod Bank. African Bank CFO Anbann Chetti emphasised the importance of prioritising liquidity and trading readiness before proceeding with an initial public offering. Preparations include the iKamva Lethu employee share ownership scheme and collaborations with key shareholders like the Public Investment Corporation and Government Employees Pension Fund. The group targets R2.5 billion in earnings over three years, focusing on client growth and favourable economic conditions. Plans for the 2025 financial year include expanding insurance offerings and launching new products cautiously.
