OUTsurance Group has undergone significant changes, including disposing Hastings, settling preference share debt and unbundling interests in Discovery and Momentum Metropolitan Holdings. Despite these changes, the company sees potential for growth with an expansion into Ireland’s insurance market due to its growing insurance market, distribution dynamics, profitability and regulatory environment. The company’s recent performance was boosted by its Australian short-term insurance arm, Youi, which attributed to premium growth, improved weather exposure, and higher investment income amid rising interest rates. Additionally, OUTsurance is considering restructuring its investment subsidiary, OUTvest, which may include possible disposal, but client investments and obligations will remain unaffected.
