FNB has announced that customers wanting to take out a student loan can now do so via its banking app. FNB stated that this introduction aims to help customers fulfill their educational aspirations through an application process that is easy, safer and more convenient. The bank offers a maximum loan of R300 000 to cover expenses such as tuition fees, accommodation and textbooks. To be eligible, the applicant that borrows the money must earn at least R3 000 per month. A parent, guardian, family member or any other sponsor can apply for the loan.
