Coronation sponsored an article to promote that it had teamed up with FoodForward SA and many other companies to pack 150 tons of food, providing one million meals for hungry households in South Africa, for Mandela Day. Volunteers, including Coronation CFO Mary-Anne Musekiwa and marketing director Wisahl Ganief, joined packing events in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban. Over 55 Coronation staff members participated for at least 67 minutes each, aiming to alleviate the food insecurity affecting an estimated 2.1 million households, as reported by Stats SA. The initiative embraced the spirit of ubuntu, reflecting a collective effort to address pressing hunger issues during the winter season.
