NUM, Numsa, and Solidarity reached a new three-year wage deal with Eskom, providing a 7% pay increase each year. The agreement also includes a 7% rise in non-managerial workers’ housing allowances and a taxable payment of R10 000 in the first two years. The unions had initially demanded higher wage hikes but settled on the 7% increase. The deal is set to last until June 2026. Eskom’s acting CEO praised the agreement as a step towards addressing challenges collaboratively.
