The Eastern Cape in South Africa is set to benefit from R127 billion in new investment commitments announced at the Eastern Cape Investment Conference. These investments cover sectors such as energy, manufacturing, information communication technology, property, tourism, film, oil and gas and healthcare. Notable projects include an R13.6 billion investment in an on-shore Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) storage and re-gasification terminal, an R510 million extension of South African Breweries’ brewery and an R250 million investment in an eco-tourism lodge development. The investments are expected to inject substantial capital into the provincial economy and contribute to economic development across various districts.
