Standard Bank’s Tutuwa Community Foundation recently joined up with Bata South Africa, to donate school shoes to Khutliso Daniels Secondary School in Makhanda, an Eastern Cape no-fee school. The donation was managed in a three-way partnership with Rhodes University Community Engagement (RUCE), which identifies the partner with the need. Standard Bank has a goal in 2023, to put shoes on the feet of over seven million South African children. Bata said that its ‘purpose strategy’ is to engage in meaningful partnerships with brands that share its values.
