The South African government is committed to finalizing the Freight Logistics Roadmap by the end of October, in collaboration with business leaders. This roadmap will outline a sequenced set of actions to reform the logistics system in the country. Among the target areas is the need to address ongoing challenges in the logistics system, with a particular focus on Transnet Freight Rail, which has faced operational and financial issues. The government and business collaboration aims to significantly grow South Africa’s economy and restore public and investor confidence through critical interventions in energy, logistics, crime and corruption.
