Absa’s ‘RUN YOUR CITY’ campaign for 2023, titled ‘Together, we can do more, Siyabangena,’ has secured the Active and Wellness Award at the 2023 Sports Industry Awards. The initiative encouraged Absa colleagues, customers and community members to be active for a cause and raise funds through the Strava community for community upliftment. Absa donated R1 for every 1km run/walked by a Team Absa member on Strava. The campaign spanned five provinces, collectively raising R1.5 million for community donations.
