FNB has formed a strategic collaboration with MTN to enhance its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), FNB Connect. Originally operating on Cell C’s network, FNB Connect will now have access to MTN’s “virtual radio access network,” improving its telecommunications and internet services. This collaboration aims to benefit FNB Connect’s customers and enable the introduction of new services, including fibre, 5G, and LTE options for faster and reliable connectivity. MTN views this partnership as an endorsement of its network’s reliability and commitment to supporting MVNOs. FNB’s CEO, Jacques Celliers, expressed plans to leverage the partnership to introduce more cost-effective and tailored products for individual and business customers.
